File>step and repeat. is an easy way to duplicate image in lin so when cutting out you can just do it in a few strokes. This is a bigger advantage as I have placed this so I can still change the design in Illustartor and edit the image and all the 9 images in InDesign will change too.

When placing an image or anything (also can place an object from InDesign) if you click on Options button just before you place that item you can change the options to have crop marks or bounding box, very useful technique. There is an option to either plug, bleed or page bounding box.

Not all books have the 1st page as number 1, so to change this right click on page and go to Numbering & section options, this is very useful for me in my book aspecially changing it to Roman numerals it looks more profesional. Also this is good because you dont have page number on front and back page.

This would be done on a new master page which will organise and look more professional.

Unlock Master page

""To Unlock master page, Cmd, Shift, click.""
Drag file into Acrabat Distaiiler.
Press quality precept means we dont have to change anything, no lowering of image quality as it stays at 300ppi.
When sending as an email print as smallest file size so its small to email but still look good quality on screen. When sending it to print send Press quality. The PDF/X-1/3/4 are for different verisons of PDF so still open on older versions

Print session 2

The layout of pages always should add to 9, just a thought to remember incase InDesign is playing up or using a different program to In Design.  eg first page would be facing 8 & 1, second page 2 & 7, third 6 & 3 etc..

Always tick print blacnk pages otherwise printer will off set pages.

Always set page to lineup centered specially when printing double sided.

Add crop marks

Choose short edge binding so print will print on both sides.

Make orientation to horizontal eventhough page is portrait, it will be printed landsacpe.

Important!!! when printing large book of 16pages or more, print in sections by specifying the range manually, Rather than clicking all.
