Firstly, I started off with this brief not knowing a thing about After Effects but after a few lessons with Mike I picked it up quite quickly and I became amazed at this new program, I couldnt get off it for a few days just experimenting not even realising the time or anything and then on silent movie I wanted to make it look 3D and although I realise After Effectss is a 2D program I designed these cubes and I had to make 6 squares and put them together which took a rediculous amount of time to do to spell out the word 'Collide' but it looked really effective and so I used the same idea in my title sequence to get the effect of Claustrophobia. I ended up having hundreds of layers so round preview was a nightmare and took me 5hrs to render 10 seconds so you probly imagine how long the rest of my video took. I did have alot of problems when it came to rendering my videos as I did everything but then there would be no file where I saved it so I ended up loosing alot of my work and so my final video is not what I planned it to be but it took so long to do and I ran out of time.
Learning After Effects opened up a whole new stage in my life and I have been looking at placements in Manchester that look at just After Effects and I strongly think I will heading in this direction in my career. I am going to do this title sequence again and improve it in my own time as I think one of the reasons I wasnt really happy about it was because of the presure i was under and how unorganised I am, but I am determined to do it again so that I can put it in my portfolio.
