I did a tutorial for my POP video and it was very basic to show me how to use the shatter effect...It told me alot of things that I didnt know. To start with I wrote out the word 'pop' and then put a shatter effects onto it. I thin had to render it and change the shape from bricks to hexagons. I changed the 'extrusion depth' to make the pieces thicker and then I lowered the 'repetition' to make less hexagon pieces.

Force 1 is the type where you have gravity option which is very important and also gravity inclination which decides wether the pieces come towards or move away from the camera.

Then I added a glow effect to make it seem as though its on fire by going to effect>stylize>glow. Then I changed the glow threshold to>alpha channel and put glow threshold to 0%.
